Hi, I’m Manavi.

I am a registered Architect from India and am currently pursuing my masters of architecture at MIT. My current focus lies in the exploration and derivation of Architecture through new age materials. My mission is to shift focus away from long lasting materials and buildings that harm our ecosystems, and direct it towards temporary materials (and Architecture) that contribute to their restoration. I believe in the significance of fostering a dialogue between nature and humans by incorporating responsiveness, degradation and renewal of human made creations, not only for practical purposes but also, foster a deeper understanding of how these principals can benefit our environment.

Previously, I practiced as an architect and Material development assistant at r+d studio in Delhi, India. I was involved in the design, experimentation, durability and climatology testing of The Silica Plastic Block (SPB). This helped me realize the immense potential of this field , but also strengthened my conviction towards the interdisciplinary collaboration required to transform a conceptual idea into reality.

C.V and Portfolio on request!
